Dr Avela Fihla is an independent medical practitioner and founder of Green Medical Care. He obtained his MBChB from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN).
He completed his medical internship at Prince Mshiyeni Memorial Hospital and GJ Crookes Hospital, gaining comprehensive clinical experience across major disciplines. He served as a Community Service Medical Officer at Untunjambili Hospital, further strengthening his skills in rural and primary health care.
Dr Fihla holds certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Paediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Essential Surgical Skills (BESS), and Basic Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS).
He is committed to accessible, patient-centred care and has a strong interest in primary health care delivery, emergency medicine, and the use of point-of-care diagnostics to improve outcomes in resource-limited settings.
